Coconut shell carbon itself has a structure similar to graphite and porous diamond. When water passes through the filter, it produces positive charges (positive ions) similar to the impact of a waterfall on rocks. These positive charges are absorbed by the conductivity of the graphite, resulting in negative charges, which are commonly known as negative ions.
The function of negative ions includes deodorization and removal of odors, as well as antibacterial properties.
